Africa Community Projects (ACP365) is a community-based non-profit organisation providing protection, care and early learning for children, while creating meaningful work-integrated learning opportunities for youth and unemployed adults.
Based at the Belhar Multi-Purpose Centre since 2001, ACP365 delivers award-winning daycare, educare, aftercare and community learning programmes rooted in our “each one teaches one” culture.
Our Approach
Where Care, Learning and Opportunity Meet
ACP365 creates safe, inclusive environments where children are protected, cared for and supported through interactive learning. Our spaces are designed to nurture early childhood development while opening pathways to learning, skills development and opportunity for the wider community.
Through a combination of education, technology, storytelling and practical activities, we ensure learning is engaging, meaningful and accessible for children, students and unemployed adults alike.
At the heart of our approach is a shared learning culture built on the principle of “each one teaches one”, where knowledge, skills and experience are exchanged across generations to create practical, lasting impact within the community.

Our Story
Founded in 2001 and based at the Belhar Multi-Purpose Centre, ACP365 is an award-winning community organisation built on a shared culture of learning across generations. Through daycare, educare, aftercare and work-integrated learning programmes, we connect children, students and community members in ways that are practical, empowering and sustainable.
The Challenge We’re Facing
Education Crisis
The 2021 Progress in Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) revealed that 81% of South African Grade 4 learners cannot read for meaning across all 11 official languages. Nearly 3% of 15-year-olds and 9% of 17-year-olds have dropped out of school.
Access & Facilities
Many families struggle to afford the low monthly fee, while others are unable to pay at all - limiting access for children in need. We also face challenges related to unapproved building plans for our leased municipal facility.
Safety Risks
Frequent break-ins, vandalism, and theft threaten the continuity of our programmes and place additional strain on already limited resources.
Funding Gaps
While the Department of Education subsidises eligible children, ACP365 relies on fundraising, limited donations, and community support to sustain and grow our impact.
Our Commitment
Despite these challenges, ACP365 remains committed to creating safe, supportive learning environments. We actively seek collaboration with universities, government departments, donors, corporate partners, and volunteers to strengthen and expand our programmes.
